Dear prospective students!
The Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science, along with the Department of Mathematics and Informatics, invites you to study in the following programs:
The Department of Mathematics and Informatics traces its roots back to the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. It was on this faculty at Vinnytsia State Pedagogical Institute, before the war (1933), that the Department of Mathematics was established as a separate structural unit under the leadership of R.M. Trakhtenberg. At that time, the department employed a prominent Ukrainian educator, a member of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences, Oleksandr Matviyovych Astryab, who was the founder of a school in the methodology of teaching mathematics. He authored textbooks and methodological guides on geometry, algebra, and arithmetic.
